It's been hot. The kitties are not pleased.

Been spending lots of quality time with the tube:

You know what's a great idea? Taking pictures of yourself while driving.

Ugh, how emo.

Aimee and I visited a charming box of kittens upstairs from work:

Got smooched by a very affectionate redtail boa:

Had both the Aimees up to my mom's, we were going to go canoeing but just ended up screwing around in the woods looking for skulls and picking blueberries. I made yet another pork tenderloin for dinner. We had a fire out at Camp Apocalypse.

We helped this baby Eastern Milksnake across the road as he shook his butt and struck at us. Eastern Milksnakes do not have rattles but just try and tell them that.

Work hosted a nauseatingly hypocritical environmentally-themed cocktail party and Top Shelf made some shit for it:

Me and Babygirl have been hanging out a lot

Had a good rummage at the Olneyville flea:

Totally thought Providence Aimee was going to make fun of my vaguely Daenerys Targaryen-inspired outfit, but she said she liked it.

ok goodnight everyone

Wrap some frozen water bottles/ice packs in dish towels and put them on the floor for the cats to lie next to!!! :)

Does that work? I feel like my cats might be too dumb to figure out that lying next to something cold might make them more comfortable.

Maybe put it next to them when they are conked out so they can feel how cool it is? Perhaps they won't actually lean on it, but just being close to it will help a little tiny bit. You could also do do this to help. When I do it, I use ice in the pan, instead of water. It stays cooler for longer, IMO.

I do the frozen bottle thing for my pet rabbit. He seems to have figured it out.

It's been REALLY hot here as well. My cat Froot Loops has taken to laying around in the bath tub all day long. I really need to get a tube again...but I have no idea of where to find one around here. A real proper tube, that is..not one of those blow up toy ones.

I bought three of these on amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ET8CZM/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00

It looks like that particular tube is out of stock, but it links to other ones that are similar.

Nice! Thanks Sandra! I had no idea that you could order them from Amazon. I have wanted one for awhile..I live a mile from Lake Michigan and used to go down there in high school after work with my friends and their Dad's old tractor inner tube. (the perks of living by a dairy farm) It sometimes gets REALLY nice and wavy...but it's nice when it's calm as well (which is rare). Are you still selling Top Shelf on etsy?

The listings for dirt bombs are still up, but they have barely any views and I haven't sold anything because I just hate promoting. Haha. I guess if people want anything they can just ask.

Hey, I have that Magneto! I'm pretty certain it was the very last kids meal toy I ever got. I believe it still lives on a shelf at my mom's with its display stand and collectable data disk.
